DALLARA AUTOMOBILI

The Dallara company was founded by Mr. Giampaolo Dallara, who, after working for Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and De Tomaso, wanted to continue to nurture the dream of working in the racing car world founding the “Dallara Automobili da Competizione” in 1972 in his birthplace Varano de Melegari (Parma).

The key skills of the company are the design with carbon fiber composites; aerodynamics with the Wind Tunnel, the vehicle dynamics with the Driving Simulator and indoor testing and the high quality prototype production. Each weekend about 300 Dallara cars race on circuits around the world and in different formulas. In recent years the Engineering business has expanded, both in regards to race cars and in high performance road cars. In all these activities, the main pillar of Dallara has always been the constant attention to technology and innovation.

Thanks to this, the company came to be one of the most important reality specialized in design, production and development of racing cars. Dallara is in fact is the sole supplier of cars for IndyCar, Indy Lights, F2, GP3 and Super Formula. Dallara also makes cars for instructional leagues such as the Formulino, for the Formula E championship, for WEC, ELMS and IMSA. Currently the Dallara Group employs over 600 people.
