Overview

The MUNER Summer School in Industrial Engineering for Advanced Automotive aims to improve the training of future engineers, mainly coming from all the curricula activated in the Master’s Degree in Advanced Automotive Engineering, Advanced Automotive Electronic Engineering and Electric Vehicle Engineering.

The main objective is to provide students with specialised knowledge in the mechanical, automotive and production fields, tailored to the needs of the thriving automotive industry, which is particularly present in the Emilia-Romagna region.

Through well-established collaborations with industry-leading companies, the School focuses on several key areas such as:

  •     efficiency of production processes;
  •     digitization and process control;
  •     development and management of efficient production processes, that take into account aspects related to the environment, quality, energy and safety;
  •     big data management and control;
  •     application of Industry 4.0 paradigma;
  •     design, development, testing and control of innovative propulsion systems and vehicles.

Offer: 15 days of intensive training

Target: The programme is open to students enrolled in Advanced Automotive Engineering, Advanced Automotive Electronic Engineering and Electric Vehicle Engineering. More generally, the programme is open to all students belonging to the Industrial and Information Technology classes and having a B2 level of English.

Duration: The lessons will take place from the 20th of August to the 6th of September 2023.

Location: University Residential Centre of Bertinoro (CEUB, Via Frangipane 6, Bertinoro – FC), which will provide students with board and lodging.

Activities: Hands-on sessions and mini-internships planned at Lamborghini and Ducati premises. In addition, experts from Lamborghi, Ducati, Ferrari, and Bucci Composites will contribute to in-class lectures.

Selection Criteria: Admission is subject to an assessment of qualifications and an interview.

Fee:  2.000 €

30 scholarships covering tuition fees will be awarded on the “rank list” basis to applicants who are enrolled in the Master’s Degree programmes offered by MUNER; 10 additional places will be open to all students who are willing to pay the full registration fee (€2,000), with no additional entry requirements other than a three-year degree in engineering, industrial or electronic engineering, or an equivalent foreign qualification.
