Italian Motor Valley Experience

The High School Advanced Engineering Summer Program – Italian Motor Valley Experience offers a 2-week university experience focused on cutting-edge automotive trends.

Designed for high school students, this summer program provides students with an understanding of the fundamentals of high-performance vehicles through a deep immersion in lectures delivered by university professors and by exploring world’s leading automotive companies.

The Italian Motor Valley Experience offers an immersive experience, a variety of academic and business contents aimed at understanding high performance vehicles and engineering subjects, and cultural activities to discover the Italian Motor Valley.

This MUNER summer school is hosted at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari, Modena, and organized by University of Modena and Reggio Emilia with the collaboration of Fondazione Marco Biagi (UNIMORE) and Victoria Languages and Cultures.

Offer:

An unforgettable learning experience in the heart of Motor Valley.

Target:

High school students with a strong STEM background and high motivation. Students must be 16 years of age at the time of application.

Duration:

2-week program, July 14th – July 27th 2024

Location:

On site at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari in Modena, in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy.

Activities:

Courses, seminars and workshops held by MUNER professors and researchers; activities in collaboration with MUNER partner companies; cultural activities in collaboration with Victoria Languages and Cultures. All activities will be in English.

Participants:

Minimum 20 students (16+). Places will be allocated on the basis of candidate assessment.

Registration:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the scientific committee’s unquestionable assessment: online applications are first evaluated and prospective candidates are then invited to a virtual motivational interview. The selection procedure closes when the maximum number of enrolled students is reached.  

Selected candidates are informed by e-mail about the registration procedure.
Selection Criteria:
  • Outstanding high school academic record;
  • STEM background: high achievement based on curriculum and extracurricular activities;
  • Basic knowledge of physics and trigonometry and minimum GPA 4 (or equivalent);
  • Student motivation statement, commitment and positive attitude;
  • English proficiency: language advanced certificate or native speaker status.
