For students aiming a career as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of off-highway vehicles

For students aiming a career as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of high-technology off-highway vehicles.

The Off-Highway Vehicle Engineering (OHVE) curriculum, beginning in the 2024-25 academic year, is part of the Master’s Degree in Advanced Automotive Engineering (AAE).

The OHVE program is designed for students who want to pursue careers as design and manufacturing engineers who have a broad vision of modern off-highway vehicles, are experts in the design of high technology off-highway vehicles, and use state-of-the-art computer-aided engineering methods and tools for fluid power actuation, vehicle dynamics, control and testing, ground interaction, and precision agriculture.

This specific curriculum is aimed at training professionals capable of designing high technology off-highway vehicles and strong skills in computer aided design, off-highway propulsion machinery and vehicles, ground interaction, electric drives, fluid power actuation, vehicle dynamics, off-highway control and testing, precision farming machinery.

The first semester of the first academic year is common to the other curricula of the Master in Advanced Automotive Engineering and takes place at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari (Modena Campus). Starting from the second semester of the first academic year, all courses will be held at the Department of Industrial Engineering and at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences in Bologna.
